Collection: a b o u t ... t h e ... c o l l e c t i o n

In 2020 I started documenting the artworks that I had collected and laying out photos of them with narrative text descriptions. It gave me the opportunity to keep my writing and graphics skills sharp, and to explore current website platforms. I called my site Gypsy Sun Art Gallery after a piece I wrote in college about how "I go on, like a gypsy sun." Because... hello! the sun doesn't move! and if it does, then the shifting is uncomfortable! But in the explorations, one stretches and one observes and one collects. And one evolves. What can I say, I'm a Postmodernist. Can't help it. I was born into a time (and into families) of shifting values and traditions. All the moving and seeking of comfort continued until recently, when I landed in the magical city of San Francisco.

I am re-launching Gypsy Sun Art Gallery now in Autumn 2025. I've added a growing collection of Essays, which I've been cranking out as concepts have come to fruitions and new cycles of understanding. And the art collection has grown as well - with new pieces from artists Rhiannon Morgan and Anne Pentland... even a Dave Eggers piece. Collections grow and grow, and then one may see commonalities, and then one may see in the artworks: prophecies, ripplings from current events, heroic opinions and other expressions of humanity.

By restarting my gallery of words and images, I can resist overpopulating my Linkedin page, hah. Not only does it have a 3,000 character limit, it also has viewers that are part of my corporate career. Naturally, my creativity extends beyond my corporate career, so Gypsy Sun gives me an outlet to flex my writing and output to my community, which also extends beyond my corporate career. Gypsy Sun Art Gallery is my repository and can be available to peruse and dig into, should anyone want to do so. (On verra! We shall see!)
