San Geronimo artwork by Darren Nelson

I encountered the imagery in Darren Nelson's San Geronimo poster back in March 2022. This was before I saw the Thunderbird & Whale artwork at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco and before we went to Ketchikan, Alaska.  Also before I met Beautiful Eagle at the Grand Canyon and before I read the Women of Grand Canyon book. ALSO before I went to San Juan Capistrano, Fort Point and the Sonoma Mission. 

After having experienced all the aforementioned historic input, I feel that I finally had the knowledge to finish writing this essay about this artful San Geronimo print by Darren Nelson.

San Geronimo is an awesome band. Got to see them play again at Rancho Nicasio last March (2025). It was a slamming party in West Marin with grooving by people of all ages, who all showed up on that rainy night.
